why "girlwander?"

entry number two:

why "girlwander?" well, you see, just "girl" was already taken. i didn't want to misrepresent myself, so i'd've been very comfortable with that one because with all my unsureties about who i am, that is one thing i know. actually, it was my first sentence: "i am a girl," but, like i said, it was taken, so i hadda come up with something different. i liked this one because 1. the wander part tells about the general current situation of my life, which i like to refer to as my quarter-life crisis, 2. i've still got the girl part in there, and 3. the combination of the two, if you didn't catch it already, makes a quasi-allusion to superheroness (superherodom? superheroism?). y'know, boy wonder. i like that because it asserts a kind of power... underneath all my current whiny uncertainty is a lot of confidence and potential, and i'm sure that once i find some direction... well, you get the picture.

anyways, i think i went on about that long enough. i'm going to bed. goodnight!
