i just don't understand

when i'm at home, i sometimes don't want to close my conversations on messenger because, like, i was talkin' to somebody, and they sent me a link that i wanna go back and check out or something. but when you sign out of MSN messenger, it closes all of your conversation windows. i found a loophole. if i block everybody on my list, it looks like i've signed off, but the conversations stay open, and when i go to work, it signs me out at home but doesn't close the windows! i just hafta remember to unblock people once i sign on at work... sometimes i forget to. like today.

i was sitting plugging merrily along at work when a window came up saying somebody new wanted to be added to my list (it was my friend ozzie with a different hotmail account). here's how the conversation went:

ozzy: hahaha
ozzy:
jerk
ozzy: thanks for blocking me
me:
oh
me: sorry
me: everybody's blocked
ozzy: uh huh
me: i do that at home instead of signing off
ozzy: riiight
me: so it doesn't close my conversations
ozzy:
nice one
ozzy: oh well
ozzy: [your religion] got you again
me: whatever [ozzie blames everything on my religion]
me: how goes it?
ozzy: whatever then
ozzy: nice save though
ozzy: believeable
me: it's the truth
ozzy: hey have fun bein a [member of your church]
ozzy: you good [church girl] you
me: why d'you gotta be mean to me?
ozzy: hmmm
ozzy: i dunno
ozzy: superficial [church] girl lying to me is not that cool
me: i'm not lying to you
ozzy: gimme a break
ozzy: its fine
ozzy: i expect shit from people like you
ozzy: its all gud
me: really, though, ozzie. that was the truth
ozzy: right
ozzy: fuck that
ozzy: your full of shit

and then he signed off.

shortly thereafter, jeff signed on (i talked to him on AIM because i'd forgotten to unblock him on MSN messenger, too, so he didn't see me when he signed on there). that conversation went like this:

jeff: hey there kitty kat!
me:
hey, you!
jeff: i have class now
me: oh
jeff: how's your work going?
me: fine
me: my "friend" was mean to me
jeff: again?? [y'see, this isn't the first time he was unecessarily mean to me]
jeff: assuming it's that same friend
me: yeah
jeff: i'm sorry
me: i don't wanna be his friend anymore
jeff:
don't be
jeff: tell him to take a hike
me: but if i'm not, he'll blame it on something besides the fact that he's mean
me: like my religion or something
jeff: well it doesn't matter because you're not his friend anymore
me: you're right
me: enjoy class
jeff: thanks
jeff: i'll talk to you when you when i get home, k?
me: k!
me: [bye!]
jeff: [bye!]

jeff always makes so much sense. i still think ozzie's a generally cool person. i just don't deserve the abuse. i never did anything to him.

...it really doesn't matter what i say
'cause you're never gonna listen to me, anyway...
